The model opens an HTML file with all required inputs. Input fields are blank but contain and example for reference. As you enter information the model updates with each input entry so there is no need to save. Be sure to enter all input value and enter zero if there is no value.
The equities value for each period is determined by a Monte Carlo simulation of S&P 500 returns from 1965 to the present. The user can input the number of simulation trials to run.
The user needs to enter their age and number of years to project. This will provide annual output for each year of you planning horizon.
A summary report can be downloaded either as a .pdf or HTML.
You can save the model as an HTML to your desktop. It will be the model with no values, but allows for updates using the following process:
Select “Save Inputs” – this will create a .json file which you can save
Open the saved HTML of the model
Select “Load Inputs” and select the .json file – this will populate your previous values
Make updates and save as a .json for a future starting point
